Il compte plus de 20 000 habitants et ne disposait pas de soins m\u00e9dicaux primaires auparavant.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019h\u00f4pital le plus proche se trouve \u00e0 10 kilom\u00e8tres, dans la ville de Grande-Rivi\u00e8re-du-Nord. Un h\u00f4pital plus important, situ\u00e9 \u00e0 Cap-Ha\u00eftien, se trouve \u00e0 37 kilom\u00e8tres. Bien que ces distances semblent minimes, le terrain montagneux autour de Gambade rend les d\u00e9placements extr\u00eamement difficiles et dangereux. Pendant la saison des pluies, les routes sont impraticables, ce qui rend impossible l\u2019acc\u00e8s \u00e0 des soins m\u00e9dicaux ad\u00e9quats. Il y a une \u00e9tincelle de lumi\u00e8re dans l\u2019obscurit\u00e9. De petites mesures ont \u00e9t\u00e9 prises au niveau local. Ces mesures font une \u00e9norme diff\u00e9rence dans la vie des populations locales.<\/p>\n<p>Pendant 10 ans, au cours des phases de consultation, de planification, de collecte de fonds, de construction et de recrutement du personnel, l\u2019\u00e9quipe de soutien au projet de Gambade a pers\u00e9v\u00e9r\u00e9. Si la pand\u00e9mie mondiale de la Covid-19 a impos\u00e9 une pause, elle n\u2019a pas arr\u00eat\u00e9 les progr\u00e8s. La pers\u00e9v\u00e9rance et une foi qui consid\u00e8re que tous les \u00eatres humains ont une immense valeur parce que Dieu les aime ont pr\u00e9valu.<\/p>\n<p>Le 20 mars 2023 a marqu\u00e9 l\u2019ouverture de la clinique en tant que centre de soins de sant\u00e9 primaires. Environ 20 patients y sont accueillis chaque jour. Le personnel compte 11 postes, dont un m\u00e9decin, des infirmi\u00e8res, un administrateur et du personnel de soutien administratif, ainsi qu\u2019un technicien de laboratoire, un pharmacien et du personnel de nettoyage. Le personnel traite un large \u00e9ventail de pathologies typiques d\u2019une r\u00e9gion agraire et tropicale, y compris de nombreuses maladies transmises par l\u2019eau et par l\u2019air. Vous pouvez imaginer ce que les gens de la r\u00e9gion ont pens\u00e9! \u00c0 commencer par des doutes et du scepticisme au fur et \u00e0 mesure que le projet avan\u00e7ait tr\u00e8s lentement, au soulagement et \u00e0 la r\u00e9jouissance lorsque la clinique a r\u00e9ellement ouvert ses portes, le projet a \u00e9t\u00e9 extr\u00eamement bien accueilli.<\/p>\n<p>Il y a donc une lueur d\u2019espoir dans les t\u00e9n\u00e8bres omnipr\u00e9sentes d\u2019Ha\u00efti, et elle se manifeste souvent par de petits pas soutenus par une perspective durable qu\u2019il peut y avoir une meilleure fa\u00e7on de faire. Cela demande des efforts, de l\u2019engagement et du soutien.<\/p>\n<p>The current and ongoing challenge for the\u00a0<strong>Gambade Medical Clinic<\/strong>\u00a0Le d\u00e9fi actuel et permanent pour la clinique m\u00e9dicale de Gambade est de trouver une source de financement durable et \u00e0 long terme pour assurer les co\u00fbts du personnel. Il y a 11 employ\u00e9s et le co\u00fbt annuel moyen pour tous les postes est de 6 000 $ dollars canadiens par employ\u00e9, soit 500 $ dollars par mois. We encourage groups and corporations to take on the cost of one staff member with an annual donation of $6,000.
