Strategic Plan from 2025 to 2028

We have a plan that has five priorities.

It expresses what we believe God will enable us to-do as His partners

advancing the gospel through Education, Medical Aid, and Service.

The to-do is led by staff and board, but will include volunteers and hired specialists as we implement various priorities.

There is a to-be part, which is tied to Christ-likeness.This requires personal growth for which we take individual responsibility.

During the year, we will share details giving you more information as the plan unfolds. You will meet the team leading the Strategic Plan through these blog posts.

We believe you will see us as a more robust and relevant movement of Christ-centred healthcare teams proclaiming God’s love to all the world through healing and teaching.

Here are the five priorities, which will challenge us in more than one dimension of life:

Priority #1 Engagement of Locals

“Deep, respectful and ongoing engagement with local communities by prioritizing relationships with local leaders, healthcare professionals, and churches.”

To do this well requires a people approved by God to be entrusted with other people, generous servants who delight in sharing the gospel and our very lives.

Priority #2 Increasing Inter-team Sharing and Connectivity.

“We seek to cultivate a strong internal community across EMAS through intentional inter-team sharing, communication, and collaboration.”

This may mean becoming sacrificial givers to support one another.

Priority #3 Strong Mentorship Program

“We aim to build a vibrant, Christ-centered mentorship program that nurtures spiritual growth, leadership development, and sustainable engagement across generations.”

We must be people with a heart for others, made competent by God to influence others profoundly for Christ.

Priority #4 Long-term Sustainability

“To ensure long-term impact and growth, EMAS is committed to strengthening its

organizational sustainability through strong administrative support for teams, fundraising,

and leadership development and pastoral care.”

We would have to stay vitally connected to and empowered by God to remain aligned with His eternal purposes for His support.

Priority 5: Increased Visibility

“We aim to increase the visibility of EMAS by clearly communicating who we are, what we

do, and the values that drive us—across churches, partner organizations, medical school

campuses, and with the broader public.”

Our best promotional material is the real-time Jesus that everyone experiences through us.
