We will not rest ‘till we find a place for the Lord, a dwelling for the Mighty One of Jacob.

Our anticipated strategic plan will prepare our organization to remain aligned with God’s overarching plan and ensure our mission is relevant to the times. We want the best possible outcomes for the investment of donors who believe that Christ-centred healthcare teams should continue to proclaim God’s love to all the world through healing and teaching. I have explained my view in earlier blogs that God’s love to all the world provided the mechanism for all people to be reconciled to God. It is a God-initiated program to restore the relationship between Creator and creature, and our teams are entrusted to deliver knowledge of this program through healthcare and education.

The key outcome is that God makes Himself a temple out of individuals who believe what we teach about Jesus Christ while physical health is improved and disease prevented.

Centuries ago, King David resolved to undertake the construction of a temple to honor God by providing housing for the symbolic presence of God, a place where his people would meet God.  He got as far as preparing the plan, motivating the nation and raising the funds.

The temple, which was built by David’s son, Solomon, replaced the portable tent of meeting that Moses and the exiles from Egypt had used many years earlier. Solomon’s magnificent temple was destroyed and replaced years later.

God’s plan to be accessible to people has been consistent from the days of the mobile tent made of animal hide.

Today, we understand from the New Testament, that God’s goal is to make each one of us into His temple, becoming personally accessible to us in spirit.

The focus of our strategic planning is how we use Education, Medical Aid and Service for the realization of this New Testament temple in the coming years.

Since the days of Moses’ mobile temple, willing worshipers have made donations for building God’s temples, Moses, David, and subsequently Cyrus, invited people to give money and materials.

Join us by donating to our pooled fund for all EMAS Canada programs and overheads.

A donor recently signed off her gift with the word IMMANUEL and with that one word proclaimed God’s overarching plan for all people.

In the grand scheme of God’s activity, our history is very short, but our existence and service will have eternal results if our strategic plan takes IMMANUEL beyond words on a seasonal card to the reality of personal experience of Divine Presence for many.
