Dr. Tarisai Ellen Marere is the specialist obstetrician and gynaecologist at Seagrave Women’s Clinic. She is also a lecturer at the UZ Medical School. Born and bred in Zimbabwe, she holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Zimbabwe and a fellowship in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with the College of Medicine South Africa.
Dr. Marere is also a Scientific committee member of the Zimbabwe Society of Obstetrics & Gynaecology. In addition, she is a founding and committee member of the Zimbabwe Society of Gynaecology Endoscopy (minimal access surgery).
She has a special interest in practicing laser therapy in gynaecology.
Dr. Marere is currently Secretary General for the Zimbabwe Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy.
Dr DavidzoyaShe Makosa is a devoted follower of Christ, wife, mother and author. She is an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who has served in the Reproductive, Maternal Newborn and Child Health space for over 15 years. She holds various certificates including Leadership & Management in Health, Fundamentals of Implementation Science, Project Management and Human Factors for Training in Health Care.
Dr Makosa has served in various leadership capacities in the public, private and non-profit sector within her sphere of influence. She is the co-founder and Managing Consultant of Orihill Health Private Limited whose mandate is to Build Relationships for Life to impact health through connecting people and transferring knowledge across generations.
DavidzoyaShe is passionate about family health, capacity building for health workers and educating the community on reproductive, maternal and child health issues. In her various capacities she has contributed to several national documents including strategies, guidelines and curriculum development. She was the technical lead of the current national Emergency Obstetric and Neonatal Care plus On the Job Training Curriculum and the Human Factors for Maternal and Newborn Care Training Course developed by Orihill Health Private Limited.
She has contributed to community education on radio, TV and through print media. DavidzoyaShe applies Biblical principles and patterns to help find solutions for the challenges in her sphere of influence. Inspired by Hosea 4 v 6, her prayer is that none should perish for lack of knowledge that she can share.
