In partnership with Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre and Stony Brook University, NY, a team comprised of a plastic surgeon, anesthetist, ICU and OR nurses will visit Moshi, Tanzania to perform surgery on adult and pediatric patients with congenital and other deformities secondary to trauma and accidents. They will also assess the feasibility of further expansion of the team to include post-op continuous care like physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy. The team members are self-funded but would appreciate donations to support the cost of transportation, medical and surgical fees of the patients. The estimated costs are $500 US per patient for 20 patients.
